The main toll station is located in Lernacken, Sweden, where all toll collection and verification takes place. Barriers are present on both the Danish and Swedish sides of the bridge — you will need to pass through them regardless of your direction of travel.
The bridge uses Automatic License Plate Recognition, meaning high-speed cameras located roughly 150 meters before the barrier scan your license plate. The system instantly checks whether your plate is linked to a valid e-vignette or subscription, and the barrier opens automatically if a valid ticket is found.
If your license plate is not recognised, the barrier will not open and you will need to use the "Help" button at the barrier for further assistance.
