The Øresundsbro Konsortiet is a unique international joint venture, established specifically to manage the bridge's construction, operation, and financing.
The consortium is a 50/50 partnership between the Danish and Swedish states:
- Denmark (50%): Owned via A/S Øresund, which is a subsidiary of Sund & Bælt Holding A/S (the Danish state-owned company that also operates the Great Belt Bridge).
- Sweden (50%): Owned via SVEDAB AB (Svensk-Danska Broförbindelsen AB), which is 100% owned by the Swedish state.
